Garage alarms Brisbane
There has been a large spike in Brisbane Crime recently, Cars being stolen from Garages is Becoming more Common. There are a few different Garage alarms Brisbane residents can have installed, we will cover a few different options. Our range includes affordable residential options as well as High end solutions.
Roller Door Reed Switch
Roller Door Reeds are not new tech, but are still very good. They’re a cheap solution for securing a garage roller or Tilta door. Reeds use a magnetic sensor to detect if a roller door is opened and can set off an alarm. Roller door reeds have a tough metal shell to protect it from being run over in the driveway. These are normally wired, but some alarms also allow for wireless options to be used. This creates a quick and easy solution for sure, but if your garage has windows you might need something more advanced.
Garage Alarm Glass Break sensors
Glass Break sensors are used on windows to detect break-ins, and trigger alarms when nearby windows are smashed. These sensors detect the high frequency sound of shattering glass, and can be used on windows or sliding glass doors. Securing Windows with glass break sensors is easy, They’re available in both wired and wireless models. When used with Reed switches you can lock down all the entry points of your garage.
PIR Motion Alarms
We recommend micro-frequency detectors for garages, as they detect objects or people in a room like sonar on a submarine. Pets can also pass by without setting them off thanks to it’s advanced sensitivity settings. Installing motion detectors with Reed switches and glass break sensors, creates a Trifecta of security. Motion detectors have Lots of variety, Quad-beam, Tri-beam, Micro-frequency, Hardwired, Wireless, Dual-tech and many more.
Side-view Detectors are installed for prevention, Side detectors are external Sensors that watch doorways, sliding glass doors or windows. For instance these sensors are mounted on the outside of windows or roller doors to watch the walkways or windows. If someone approaches the window or door the alarm will go off, alerting you or sounding the alarm system. Ordinarily these would be set-up to trigger the alarm system, but there are other options as well. They can be set in most cases to send you a notification if the sensor goes off. We Highly recommend upgrading your alarm to allow remote arming/disarming if exterior sensors are installed as false alarms may occur.
