The title should actually read .. 2nd hand FIRE RESISTANT filing cabinet but people use fireproof in their search terms. There is a big difference between the terms and fireproof is a generic term. Fire resistance can be measured in terms of temperature and duration anyway I digress. Here is a one of the BEST fire resistant filing cabinets on the market which usually sells for $3800 – it is rated for 2 hours and even has a separate box for micrographic data. Its worth pointing out that standard fire resistant filing cabinets are normally ONLY rated to protect paper from fire & heat. This 2nd hand fireproof filing cabinet also has a high quality spin combination lock securing the top drawer and then additional keylocks for the other drawers.
