Big Heavy Lord Safe [Refurbished Second Hand Unit]

Description

This big heavy Lord safe is actually a Lord EDF 90 series. More specifically its a Lord 903 Anti Arc jewellers grade safe. Lord Safe Company were one of Australia’s premium safe makers. Their factory in Brookvale made all their safes until they moved to Taree in the early 90’s. This high grade Lord safe is a flagship model. It has a Anti Arc door which makes it extremly difficult to cut open using high quality oxy and electric metal cutting equipment. This Lord 903 measures 1010 x 750 x 860 mm ( H X W X D) and 840 x 510 x 580 mm internally. It was originally fitted with twin 4 wheel Vault locks. These “indirect” drive spin combination locks are almost impossible to manipulate open using a stethoscope etc.

Typically these high grade safes are used for protection high value jewellery and precious metals. I would class this as a “grade 5” safe which translates to a cash rating of $300,000. This cash / insurance rating is a stand alone value ie without the support of a back to base alarm system. The boltwork has been dsigned and manufactuered to defend against explosives, grinders and high speed drills. The door is 190 mm thick with the outer slab barrier measuring 90mm. Glass relocking pins are also there to further protect the safe and make cracking this safe extremly difficult.

We have removed one of the 4 number combination locks and fitted a digital lock in its place for ease of operation. All safes we sell are covered by our warranty policy. We can also transport this safe to almost any location in Australia. At the time of manufacture the Lord 90 series was tested and passed the UL’s TRTL30 x 6 safe penitration test.
