The boltwork I referred to means it has a “handle” which when turned withdraws and throws the bolts to the locked/unlocked position. Most floor safes just rely on the tongue of the lock to hold the safe shut or open. The advantage of having boltwork is that it makes it MUCH MUCH harder to “pull” open. The direct bolt is much more susceptible to being pried open as bolt has to withstand the attack alone. The handle boltwork means the bolts can be larger and configured in multiples, in this case two bolts.

Description

This floorsafe is your “garden variety” inground floor safe, it is a copy of the CMI GUAC floorsafe but is better as it has “boltwork”. It measures 400 x 400 x 350 H W D outside and 270 x 320 x 270 H W D internally. It has a 12mm thick removable lid (rather than the more common 10mm ) and a comes standard with a 3 wheel LaGard combination lock. We can easily upgrade the spin combo to a LaGuard digital lock for an additional charge.

I point out again it comes with 12mm thick steel door ( a lot of other safes only have a 6 or 10 mm thick door) as well a gas strut which makes opening and closing a breeze. This safe is built to exacting standards and because it uses “standard components” should you have any trouble down the track you can always get spare parts.

Lastly there is a snug fitting cover plate that makes this safe almost impossible to find !
