Now everyone likes a bargain but and there is always a but there is a relationship between price & quality. The cheapest AUSTRALIAN made vault door I can find is the CMI Basic Grade Strongroom door and frame SRD4. It is a great door and frame, the outer “plate” is 6mm and the frame is 4mm. Total weight is 310kg. Now OUR cheap Vault door also has a 6mm outer “plate” and 4mm frame. But the inner frame is 3mm and the door and doorway is narrower.
Sadly our Aussie workforce have to compete with overseas workers and this why Vault doors are cheaper when made overseas. We used to sell CMI doors and slowly the sales slowed down. We then sourced the Guardall KSSR Vault door which is also competitively priced but now sells for $5600 + delivery. This door has a 12mm outer “plate” and a 4mm frame. Its worth noting the KSSR door come with a internal emergency release and this is an extra charge on the CMI.
Unlike other dealers, We have over 300 Google reviews and 98% of them are 5 star !
So our latest cheap vault door has a 6mm outer plate and a 4mm outer frame as well. It also comes with an emergency internal release. We fit this door with the LaGard digital lock and we can install an additional keylock if required. We have installed over 60 Vault doors and frames since 2000. This qualifies me to state that the KSSR and our new Vaultcorop SRDS1 door are easy to install. Both doors use the “clamshell” frame system which clamps onto the Vault wall. We are currently selling our door for $4290 plus delivery.
Our Vaultcorp SRDS1 vault door has a walk through space of 1883mm x 760mm and it measures 1970 x 890 overall. Like all quality Vault doors this door has a 10mm “tread plate” and heavy duty hinges. We can deliver the door anywhere Australia and because it weighs 230kg is quite manageable. This door would suit someone wanting to build a mancave, gunroom or person retreat room.
