The OFT oversees the licensing of Locksmiths and security companies in Qld and anyone working on security equipment on a commercial property must be fingerprinted and have their history checked by Qld Police.
Its worth noting that some locksmiths don’t have a security license which is fine so long as they ONLY work on cars or domestic properties. Of course why anyone would allow a unlicensed locksmith to repair their locks is beyond me.
